Coastal Toast
- 1 pers.
- 5 min.
- Easy
Ingredients
- Sardines in olive oil Casa Santoña
- Toast or slice of bread
- 1/2 lime
- Peanuts
- Arugula
- 1/4 red onion
Preparation
We bring you a recipe for survivors! We wanted to pay tribute to a product as modest as succulent, the sardines. To do so, we have used some resources that you will find even in the most miserable moments of your pantry. (Note that if you do not have lime or arugula, you can always replace it with a close relative such as lemon and/or lettuce).
Finishing and Presentation
For our toast we have lightly "bronzed" the crumb layer so that it holds the ingredients well, but we have left the crust layer untoasted to enjoy its freshness. Once such a culinary feat has been accomplished, we are ready to add all the ingredients to taste. First we have placed a layer of arugula, and on it the Casa Santoña sardines, a very fine chopped peanut and red onion. We finish off with a generous drizzle of oil from our can and a little lime zest to top it all off.
