Las Moradas has been one of the pioneer wineries to show the potential of garnachas in the sub-area of San Martín de Valdeiglesias. Garnacha with floral aromas, plum, low mount and a very mineral background, prevailing the variety on a subtle wood. Long end and with great permanence in the mouth. A very soft wine, full of freshness, pure and balanced.

Red Wine Senda 2012
Varieties: Garnacha of the plots “Corzos”, “El Camino”, “Boquerón”, “La Coja” and “Poniente”. Granitic soil with a sandy-loam texture (90-93% sand), pH 6.5.
Planting: potting with 1,450 strains / ha. Yield of the vintage: 2.220 kg / Ha. Ecological viticulture.
Vinification: Destemming and pre-maceration. Fermentation with its own yeasts and soft traps. Malolactic in deposit without adding bacteria. The breeding took place, during ten months in French oak barrels of different uses and sizes, depending on each plot. Assembly in tank until bottled without clarifying, or filtering.
Date of bottling: February 2015.
Operating temperature: 15 -17 ºC.
Tasting note: Very fresh and aromatic. It faithfully represents the spirit of the garnachaterruño of Las Moradas. Cherry color. Garnacha very varietal with floral aromas, plum, low mount and a very mineral background, characteristic of the granitic soil, prevailing the variety on a subtle wood. Its long end and with great permanence in the mouth.
Other information of interest: The winery is located at 870 m above sea level, on the threshold of the Sierra de Gredos, in a unique spot of San Martín de Valdeiglesias, southwest of Madrid. Around it, 21 ha. Of old Garnacha vineyards in dry land and settled on a soil of fine gravel of granite origin, with low yields of grape and in an austere climate. The wine obtained tries to capture the essence of the Grenache in these terroirs in the most natural and respectful way possible.
